SERVICE TO CHILD THERAPISTS AND TO CHILD-RELATED FIGURES

based on four objectives

Gathering research material and clinical evidence in the infantile developmental, psychology and neuropsychiatry fields.

Gathering subjects of study in the infantile developmental, psychology and neuropsychiatry fields.

Listing the addresses of Italian Centres for the diagnosis and the therapy of infantile neuropsychiatry disorders.

The possibility of requesting bibliographical data on specific subjects.

It is a reference tool for child-related figures (neuro-psychiatrists, psychologists, psychomotor and neuro-psychomotor therapists, rehabilitation therapists, speech therapists, pedagogists and educationists) and for parents. The aims are as follows.

o      A collection of selected articles. It is a collection of texts concerning research, clinical evidence, therapeutic or pedagogic experiences, all of them originating from actual experience in the fields already mentioned. Such a collection is reserved to professionals and is made up of published texts provided by the authors themselves. Authors can add already published articles to the selection mentioning the first appearance of the text, in order to take full advantage of the communicative context. Prior to posting, all texts will be examined by an in-house committee composed by infantile neuropsychiatrists, psychologists and therapists who will guarantee the professionalism of the articles. The collection is structured like a library, texts are grouped by subject and can be accessed by title and author. The permanent availability of the article is guaranteed. The possibility of publishing the results of one’s research or therapy/pedagogy will encourage the diffusion of knowledge, communication and information between professionals. Publishing will be free of cost. Those interested in being published will be requested to fill in a form. Access to the articles is free, albeit reserved exclusively to professionals operating in the field (infantile neuropsychiatrists, psychologists, psychomotor and rehabilitation therapists, speech therapists, pedagogists), who will be required to fill in a registration form.

o      Subjects. This group includes a series of selected subjects, scientifically important and of free access, related to special pathologies existing in the developmental, psychology, neuropsychology and education field. The main goal is to provide simple and clear information to concerned individuals, especially to parents who need to understand the subject. CSPPNI welcomes requests for new subjects to be treated or publishing suggestions from professionals. Such requests will be examined and, if approved by the committee, will be posted free of cost.

o      Addresses of Centres. Considering the difficulties in finding specific support in diagnosing and healing child pathologies, we thought that a list of addresses of services dealing with Developmental Psychology and Infantile Neuropsychiatry all around Italy, could be useful to the general public. These addresses are free to access to everybody.

o      Bibliographical requests. Bibliographical data about child development, disorders and neuropsychiatry pathologies can be obtained freely by professionals operating in the field (infantile neuropsychiatrists, psychologists, psychomotor and neuro-psychomotor therapists, rehabilitation therapist, speech therapists, pedagogists and educationists) provided the are registered. This information will be free of cost.

Everybody’s cooperation in suggesting articles, subjects and addresses will ensure the project is useful and always up to date.                                                                                   We look forward to receiving your articles.

Please tell your colleagues about this project.

Best regards,

Prof. Roberto Carlo Russo
